just pouring out some feelings for no reason lol

I feel so embarrassed about things I used to be ignorant about sometimes, like how I used to think Lars Ulrich was a jerk lol
no, but seriously, I used to like listen to the media and it's weird that they never came out and said "he's wrong" but they implied it so heavily that it just like influenced my opinion... but NOW that I am no longer ignorant to like what that's all about, I'm like you know what, he was right all along and it's not about "not sharing art"
any artist that's a real artist would love to just have enough money to live on, and survive, and if they had that, and were set, they would love to just give away their art... I promise, even him... but these people (though the ones whose name you know are probably rich) like 95% of artist in the world's population can't make a dime because people think this way... "art is meant to be shared" which is absolutely true but like you want and expect these people to stay relevant and make albums and tour and do meet and greets (and get mad when they don't for like a day or two) and still like give away their work... that is their job... and if they wanted to give it away, how would they ever have time to have a "real" job... the only reason most artist want to make money off of art is so that they can survive financially and also have enough time to do their art, if you think they are just like, "this is easy money, get rich and famous quick" it isn't anything like that, if you think it is, and you aren't a musician or artist at all... (well if you are, you know better) but please write a hit song, sing it and learn an instrument and record that, and make it sound good enough to be on the radio, you have a week, send it to me and I will give you a thousand dollars
or a painting or drawing or any type of art, go get a blank paper and make something that moves someone's emotions, just do it, it's easy right? I mean isn't that why people do it? a lazy and "fun" way to be super rich?
or famous? lol honestly probably most true artists would love to be able to be successful without being famous... which is hard but it is possible... however not likely to happen... I see people freak out about one person talking bad about them, that doesn't know them that well (myself included) well there you go, that's fame lol
that part is the downside, seriously
it's not just easy money, it isn't easy at all... if you want to have a glamorous career wear a glittery suit and be a lawyer
glamorous is not staying up til 4am writing because you don't know if you'll be inspired tomorrow, or ever again (the fear is real) and then waking up early the next day to go to your real job on 3hrs sleep and your fingers are screaming or numb from writing or typing or painting or drawing, or singing until your whole body aches from exhaustion and your throat is raw, or playing an instrument until you literally bleed and your fingers cramp
and then you have people asking you to entertain them and after months of learning how to do something and all you get is "oh cool... anyway next topic" and that's all
but that's okay because you don't do it for them or for approval, you do it because you can't stand not doing it, because you love the process, and even if no one else would ever see or hear it, you'd still do it, because it's in your heart and that feeling you get when you are finished with something that was once just a feeling in your heart and words in your head are now an actual thing that exists out in the earth... it's the third best natural high there is (the first being in God's presence, and the second being in love) all three of which are connected btw... and knowing that one day maybe, there is a slight chance that it will connect with at least one person and it might make them feel something, anything at all ... that's why artists are artist... it's months of the best agony ever becoming something that is like a child to us and then people just say, "your gift from God and main purpose in life is a useless hobby... and if I can't have it for free from everyone who had a part in creating it, even though it took about a thousand dollars to make...  you're greedy"... well sorry you feel that way, and it's okay because we smile and just move on because we know people don't understand us... and we go back to our corners were we make things, and then we write about how you don't understand... so thank you
