Pageants vs. Ninjas

disclaimer: people will be mad but this is my opinion... deal with it.

what really supports this idea is emily fields... ninja.

the girl is a ninja, and while she is my least favorite of the 6 main girls of Pretty Little Liars, I love her so much and well, she's a ninja.

In the episode "pretty isn't the point", Hanna is only entering a pageant to win scholarship money because she has literally no other options. She hates pageants and her awesome boyfriend Caleb reminds her how awful they are but supports whatever it is that she needs to do (because he is the best boyfriend and a male feminist himself).

Anyway, despite Ashley Benson being a real life trained dancer from the age of 4, her character Hanna, is not the best dancer so she enlists (literally forces) Emily to help her learn a dance routine.
As Hanna goes off  the deep end thinking about her awful step sister Kate, and dances herself into a crazy dancing rage/seizure while the coach is watching, the coach notices that Emily is quite good a.k.a. she's a moving sex bomb, which apparently will win over the adult judges that will be judging and lusting after these underage girls in high school.

here is the video of the hilarious scene/nightmare
and yea she doesn't want it, she was only doing it for the money... because her awful dad is paying for her step-sister's college and not hers... it's truly awful, he's awful... but anyway...

Emily decides to do the pageant only in order to get the money so she can give it to Hanna for her tuition because "friendship and love"
but the point is, since Emily would be perfect for pageants, and she is a ninja... does that mean that people in pageants are missing their true calling as ninjas themselves?
I really should show at least one example of Emily being a ninja...
watch her when she grabs the phone, bam! ninja!

there are other examples but this isn't just about emily...

this is about pageants, I mean why are we training girls to be perfect from a young age? to be fake? to wear hideous dresses that look like "prom '91"?
None of the clothing people wear is really realistic or fashionable in the least. So it obviously doesn't function as a fashion show of sorts, and most of the people in them are barely that naturally pretty, plus that's what modeling is for... plus most attractive people don't join them... so it isn't even "who's prettiest" it's "who's prettiest out of the people insecure and desperate enough to put themselves through this anti-feminist nightmare to be herded around stage and judged and gawked at by strangers"
People say it's about other stuff but who are they kidding? The scholarships are seriously a joke, and mostly lies. And the talents are just nonsense, people can say it's about charity or the public speaking, I mean come on if you really care about public speaking, take up a worthy cause and kill two birds with one stone by speaking publicly about the cause and support it. And add that to the fact that the questions are to be answered within 20 seconds is proof that, that portion is just there to make excuses. There is really no REAL reason to be in a pageant besides exactly what Caleb described in the earlier video. And the fact that people who really need money for college (like hanna) can't get it unless they perform like a show dog or prize cow at the county fair, is really just demeaning and awful.
I mean if we are taking the time and money to make a career out of doing something this useless, why don't we stop training girls to be in pageants and start training them to be ninjas?

At least that could be useful if it were ever necessary. Plus it's just super cool, and the outfits are way cuter... seriously.
